We will be using the “green light” system. It is a simple visual technique to help your child monitor his/her behavior. Everyone starts on a green light each day. Green means good behavior choices are being made. Movements through yellow, red and blue lights are for behaviors not corrected by your child (one warning is given before a light change). When a child reaches a red, the child will miss 5 minutes of recess. At the blue light, your child will write a note to you about his/her behavior and all recesses will be lost. Also, the teacher will contact you to discuss the day’s events leading up to the blue light.

We have added a new level to our “green light” system! We now have a shinning star light for kids who have exhibited behavior above and beyond expectation. They should be able to name the way they were a shinning example.
